This unique & picturesque private island is 16 acres and situated toward the east end of Muchalat Inlet which is accessed via Gold River on Vancouver Island and only a 2.2 mile, 10 minute boat ride from boat launch and parking. |

Victor Island, one of the very few private islands in the area is beautifully forested and has not been logged.
The topography is a mix of rocky outcrops with a gradual slope to the shoreline on the west side of the island where the 890 sqft, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin is situated. Moorage and dock are located on the southern shore. |

The home is approximately 10 years old and the current owner has recently completed some upgrades and repairs. Constructed on a concrete post foundation with post on pad or rock and 2x6 wood framing. The main floor is 495 sqft and the 2nd floor is 395 sqft. There is also a 74sqft 3rd floor viewing room with a deck. |

The main floor has an open living area with oak floors and a separate full kitchen with eating area. The walls and ceiling are finished in tongue and groove wood paneling. The kitchen has modern, solid wood cabinetry, rolled edge arborite countertops and vinyl sheet flooring. |

The second floor includes the bedrooms, which are finished to the same standard as the living room and a 3 piece bathroom with shower and other modern fixtures and vinyl flooring. |

The turret functions as a viewing area with access to a roof top deck. This turret room also has oak flooring and tongue and groove wood finishing. The outside deck has duro deck floor and pre-finished aluminum and tempered glass railings. |

The exterior is finished with painted wood siding and a metal roof. The overall condition is good, however the exterior siding could use some repainting in the Spring. |

Heating is provided by an oil fired, forced air furnace with ducting to all the rooms, and a wood burning oven in the living room. |

The diesel fired generator located in a separate outbuilding is used for power and can be activated from the main house. The home is fully wired with electrical outlets and overhead lighting. |

A 1500 gallon cistern is used to collect rainwater and provides water to the cabin and there is a septic waste system in place. |

There is a wooden walkway leading to a 40ft aluminum ramp and the 8.5 x 24 ft dock with wood and concrete decking and Styrofoam flotation. |

This west coast retreat has all the modern conveniences and comfort but is in a private remote location and accessed by boat or float plane only. |

This region of the West Coast of Vancouver Island is known for its rugged and remote landscapes, dramatic outer reefs, long expanses of pristine beaches and wide variety of indigenous wildlife. Marine wildlife in this area includes killer whales (Orca), gray whales, seals, porpoises and sea otters as well as an abundance of black bear, cougar, deer and other land dwelling species. The stunning scenery, attracting anglers, kayakers, divers, campers and outdoor adventure enthusiasts to the wilderness area, enhances this isolation. |

The fishing, kayaking and other recreational adventure in this region is outstanding. Sheltered bays and protected coves in and amongst the islets provide for hours of exploration and relaxed quiet tranquility as your kayak glides effortlessly through the stilled waters. The waters themselves offer an abundance of large Chinook salmon as well as some of the smaller salmon species and an impressive variety of bottom and deep-sea fish from Halibut, Red Snapper and Ling Cod to Black Sea Bass, Skate, Prawns and salt-water varieties of crab. |

Access to these remote locations is by floatplane or by boat from the towns of Gold River, and Tahsis, or from the remote adventure camps scattered throughout the region. The small community of Tahsis is located 2 ½ hours drive west of Campbell River on Vancouver Island and the community of Gold River, 1 ½ hours from Campbell River. These small communities offer most convenient and essential services. Golfers can enjoy the wildlife, the mountainous terrain, and the sparkling Gold River when playing the 9-hole golf course at Gold River Golf & Country Club. Venture into the awe-inspiring Upana Caves, all 100 or so of them, located about 17 km west of Gold River. Gold River is a primary jumping off point for access to Nootka Sound and the West Coast of Vancouver Island, an area that is well known for it spectacular salmon and halibut fishing amongst other great outdoor and ocean activities. The MV Uchuck III provides year-round freight and passenger service for west coast communities in Nootka Sound, Friendly Cove, Tahsis and Kyuquot including Esperanza Inlet and the Nuchatlitz Inlet region. The route travels through Nootka Sound, up Tahsis Inlet and out from the Esperanza Inlet, rich in native culture and history, to the ocean.
