Central West Coast Vancouver Island Resort Facility

A very popular destination for the sport fisherman and outdoor enthusiast. Located on just over 2 acres on the western fringe of the Village of Tahsis this is the largest facility of its kind in town.

This full service business includes a 22-room, 1-suite full service 2-storey hotel facility with a licensed 60-seat restaurant plus 120-seat pub, banquet room in one building, commercial complexes with additional retail space in two other buildings plus a separate detached owner's residence.
The property is 2.06 acres and has approximately 700 ft of oceanfront. The moorage facilities are substantial and can easily accommodate 36 plus fishing vessels with more room to develop more moorage space. The substantial Aquatic Lands License encompasses 3.75 acres. This offering is an asset sale.

The current owners have successfully operated this seasonal business catering to the sportfishing industry and all aspects of their requirements. In addition to the accommodations, moorage facilities and food and beverage services, there is also a Tackle and Sporting-goods / Gift shop providing a variety of items including fish packaging & ice.

The Hotel, Restaurant, Pub, & Store complex is a wood frame building on a concrete slab. The hotel portion of the building is 2 storeys. Two of the buildings are steel framed over concrete slabs with 6 retail units in one building and 5 in the other. The fourth building is a one storey cottage residence. Electric baseboard heat and propane heated hot water in all buildings.
Tahsis is located 40 miles northwest of Gold River and can be reached by water, road and air. From Campbell River travel west on Highway 28 through Strathcona Provincial Park to Gold River. From Gold River, follow the signs for approximately 40 miles on a gravel road through beautiful mountain passes to Tahsis. You will be driving on active logging roads so caution is required. By air, there are regularly scheduled floatplane services from Gold River, a charter service out of Campbell River, and a helipad near the head of Tahsis Inlet.
The coastal village of Tahsis is situated at the head of protected Tahsis Inlet, on the West Coast of Vancouver Island near Nootka Sound. Tahsis offers access to a number of wilderness hiking trails, caving, incredible ocean kayaking, scuba diving, wind surfing, sailing & canoeing. The area is best known for offering world-class sportfishing as massive runs of salmon migrate down the west of British Columbia to their spawning grounds in coastal streams and rivers. Anglers can also venture out to the Pacific Ocean where fishing is excellent for halibut, flounder, rockfish and lingcod. Crabs, prawns, shrimp, oysters and other seafood are also plentiful.
Wildlife abounds! Black bear, wolves, cougars, Roosevelt elk and coastal black-tailed deer are frequent visitors to this area. Guest from around the world marvel at the eagles, sea lions, whales & other marine wildlife that is common in the nearby waters. The picturesque and versatile west coast village offers a wide range of accommodation, a full-service marina and a safe, friendly small town atmosphere that boasts an incredible blend of outdoor adventures and some of the most rugged and breathtaking scenery in British Columbia, Canada.
